Ep.2. The Three Messengers

Synopsis

Session Five

Played: 27th March 2017.
Party: Kilannia, Sindar, Yrgromma, and Lomaeus.
Rewards: One incremental advance. 1 full heal up.
125gp Each.

At the Pool of Bothra, the party recovers from same Claw Flowers a petal that allows Yrgromma to create a potion that permanently cures Kilannia from the Beguiler's curse.

On their way back to Aldonaruem, they encounter Loralal and Aldarath, who are being pursued by Ettercap Hunters and some Hunting Spiders. Loralal says that Aldonaruem has been attacked an conquered by Ettercap and she is on her way to tell the Elf Queen.

Aldarath has a message for Kilannia, that the High Druid requested to get a piece of a special fungus plant that can be used to counteract the effects of the Beguiler as well.

The heroes decide that they will guard Loralal as she delivers her message. However, as the party rest that night, they are attacked by Kobolds and a Catacomb Dragon. The party are victorious.

Session Six

Played: 10th April 2017.
Party: Kilannia, Sindar, Yrgromma, and Lomaeus.
Rewards: One incremental advance.

Upon looting the Dragon, Yygramma finds a message related to him, including a magic wand. The message requests the he investigates why the Dragons are following the Drow Queen. It wants him to go to the Spider Woods and seek out the Dragon Ataliks for answers.

The Party continues through the forest, when they see a Forest Bear transform into a Dire Bear , kill its mate, and attack the party.

The Heroes lead Loralal to the Elven Court, but they find that Silvarla, the old Elf Queen has “stepped aside” for Nordra, the Drow Queen. Loralal seeks out the court to tell them about the fate of Aldonaruem, and talks to Dromlin, a Drow courtier, but he sets a Minotaur on the party.

The minotaur is defeated and the party make it to the Nordra, the Drow Queen. She “admonishes” Dromlin and talks to the party promising to take action. In her presence is Tyberious and Gilnoran who say they were rescued by the Drow, but they still act differently.

Loralal is sent to Gilnoran's home, but she runs away. The party are dismissed, but overhear that Tyberious and Gilnoran are being sent to slay the Fungus Queen.

Session Seven

Played: 1st May 2017.
Party: Kilannia, Sindar, Yrgromma, and Lomaeus.
Rewards: One incremental advance. 1 full heal up.

The party follows Tyberious and his column as they march to the home of the Fungus Queen. When they arrive at the fungus swamp both the party and Tyberious's column is attacked by some fungus creatures. The party defeat the fungi, but they are observed by the Dorw column. Tyberious, Gildaron, and the remaining Drow attack the heroes, but the heroes previal and free Tyberious and Gildaron from their mind-control.

Session Eight

Played: 8th May 2017.
Party: Kilannia, Sindar, Yrgromma, and Tyberious.
Rewards: One incremental advance. 1 full heal up.

The party continues on to the lair of the Fungal Queen. They initially stuck to firmer ground, where they are stalked by a large pack of wolves (and some wibbles, which are accidently summoned by Yrgromma). After defeating those they arrive at a crystal gazebo where they fight a being of ligh and her will'o'wisp-like minions. After defeating them they find some magical gloves in a font.

Head into the swamp area and the heroes reach the thorn-encased castle of the Fungal Queen, where they are attacked by two Otyugh.

Session Nine

Played: 22nd May 2017.
Party: Kilannia, Sindar, Yrgromma, and Tyberious.
Rewards: 1 full heal up. Increase to 3rd Level.

The heroes head into the Castle, slaying the Fungaloid Drudge guards. When entering the tunnels uner the castle they come across Drow sneaking in giant insect sacks that they are using to attack the fungaloid creatures. Disposing of some of the Drow they eventually make their way to the Fungaloid Empress and slay her, taking the gland.
